The Public Art Artist Roster is used for commissioning new, original, and site-responsive public artwork through the City of Seattle in collaboration with other City departments: Seattle City Light, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Public Utilities, and Seattle Parks and Recreation. Artists included on the roster are not guaranteed a commission but are pre-approved application pool for City supported public art projects.
The current roster includes over 400 local and national artists, with a broad range of media, expertise, and focus areas. It expires in 2026 and opens for applications annually. To receive notice of when the application opens, sign up for our email newsletter.
The Public Art Artist Roster is available as a public document and is not intended as a recommendation.
